For those who need something larger than their Jumbo™, we now offer the COLOSSUS™ Versipack™, a bold new, no-holds-barred approach to Maxpedition’s battlefield-proven shoulder sling concept.

Large yet manageable, the COLOSSUS™ has main and secondary compartments each filled to the gills with internal pockets and dividers. The frontal compartment features an additional lower zipper opening to access items at the bottom. Beaucoup attachment points line both exterior sides while rear and back sleeve compartments both contain 7” x 8” loop fields for CCW accessories allowing users to carry a handgun or three. The back compartment can also accommodate a 50 oz. hydration reservoir. The COLOSSUS™ is bells and whistles galore, and designed for those who want a myriad of value added features and expandability. Use it as a grab-and-go bail out bag, mini range bag, or for everyday carry.

  • Teflon® fabric protector for grime resistance and easy maintenance

  • UTX-Duraflex nylon buckles for low sound closures

  • High tensile strength nylon webbing
  • High tensile strength composite nylon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread)
  • #AS-100 high grade closed-cell foam padding material for superior shock protection
  • Internal seams taped and finished
  • Paracord zipper pulls
  • Stress points double stitched, Bartacked or "Box-and-X" stitched for added strength
Cleaning Instructions
  • MAXPEDITION's nylon fabric is treated with Dupont Teflon for superb water and grime resistance.
  • To clean, simply wipe down with a damp cloth. Allow gear to dry naturally.
  • Do not machine wash.
  • Do not use detergent or bleach.

Comments: My Colossus has survived a family vacation in Rome, solo backpacking throughout Europe, an attempted mugging in Egypt, a camping safari in Africa, and finally a tour of duty in Iraq. It even carried the weight of a two-year old (comfortably-ish) for six hours while touring the Vatican. No other platform has ever served me better than this. It has been brutalized. Comments: I got my bag yesterday and so far I love it. It was smaller than I thought it would be. It looks huge in the photo of the guy that is wearing it, but I guess I must be bigger than him because it looks a lot smaller on me. It hold all of my EDC gear plus has room for my DSLR. The only inprovement I would suggest is maybe a grab handle on the top and some more velcro and MOLLE webbing on the front of it.

Comments: Just got back from a walk in the woods with my gun. This Bag is Awesome!!! I purchased two water bottle carriers for the sides. You can’t go wrong with this one. I also added a carry handle I engineered myself. This bag is my favorite!

Comments: This is by far the best carryall I have ever owned. Lots of space for small every day items. With a little effort it changes from my EDC to a wilderness ready bag to a road trip diddy bag. Looking forward to customizing it with add on pouches and pockets.

Comments: I purchased a Colossus Bag several month`s ago and got to put to good use this past couple of weeks. Did some hunting in E.Texas and the bag was a real aid. ontained in the bag were skinning knives,rope,TP,snacks,flashlight,ammo,first aid pack,shooting glasses, and there was room for more items. It was very handy and out of the way!
