The JANUS™ is a two-faced pocket, one side features loop fields for ID patches while the other side has PALS webbing to accept modular accessories. An adjustable and removable strap allows user to decide which side should face forward and whether the opening points to the left or right. The JANUS™ splices into 2” shoulder straps or waist straps using compatible quick release buckle components, providing additional storage for most customers or elongating a fully extended shoulder/waist strap for larger folks. The extension strap can also be completely removed and used independently of the pouch. The pouch too can be used independently by modular attachment to PALS webbing using a pair of 5" TacTie™ (also with either side facing outwards, opening left or right).

**Please note that Janus Extension Pocket buckles are compatible with the 2" Duraflex WARRIOR buckles. Please check your pack to make sure you have this type of buckle.

  • High tensile strength nylon webbing
  • High tensile strength composite nylon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread)
  • Internal seams taped and finished
  • Paracord zipper pulls
  • Stress points double stitched, Bartacked or "Box-and-X" stitched for added strength

Comments: Very useful. Have the camo paired with a fatboy for fishing. Most needed stuff easily accessed.

Comments: Great pocket. Very durable, with the Fatboy you can arrange it so it sits on your chest which is very handy for quickly accessing items.

Comments: WITH HELP FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT GOT SOME WEBBING AND BUCKLES AND MADE A STAND ALONE BELT FOR IT. I ALSO USE IT WITH FATBOY VERSIPAK. GREAT PACK, WILL NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.

Comments: I've had my Janus for more than a year, and it has become the keystone of my modular everyday carry. It holds my "can't be without" items: cell phone, digital camera, pad and pen, flashlight, and lip balm and other small items. I can splice it into my Fatboy, Jumbo, or Proteus with ease, and I have a 2" nylon belt that I use it with as a standalone. My only wish is that my Falcon II had a 2" waistbelt so I could splice into that! The Janus is an essential piece of kit for me.
