The MERLINâ„¢ Folding Backpack is a light-weight "escape-and-evasion" style backpack that folds into itself forming a small MOLLE-compatible packet which can be attached onto belts or other modular platforms using TacTieâ„¢. When unfolded, the main compartment of the pack will hold approximately 1080 cu. in. of gear. A totally separate back compartment equipped with top D-ring can hold a hydration reservoir, flat items such as maps/documents, or a folded towel/jacket. Two separate frontal pockets allow organization of smaller items. Our unique zipper pull limiter system allows user to adjust the direction of lower pocket opening depending on the packâ€™s expanded or contracted state. Important note: the body of the MERLINâ„¢ backpack is made from tough 420-denier coated nylon fabric (internal seams finished, of course) to take advantage of its ability to fold into a small space. Frontal pockets are made from 1000-denier coated nylon fabric.

Comments: I really like this idea. I think I'm going to include one in my next maxpedition order. I will attach this to my Lunada. That way the next time I go to the local honey festival with my cousin and my grandmother and they come ill prepared, I will be prepared for them. Either i can put my Lunada on my chest and my merlin on my back or i can just make them carry all the stuff they bought out there themselves. I would like to see two versions of this. Comments: Great hide-a-way pack. I keep them in all my vehicles as a GHB (Get Home Bag). It is small and compact when not in use to save on space. It expands to the right size to fit what I need to make it home. I can easily attach anything to it with Tac Tie straps or D-Rings like my FR-1 Pouch that has my essentials. Thank you for a great pack!!
