"Great Product"

Jake Whitney on 3/17/2017 11:51:13 AM

Comments: Super durable, storage for everything I could possibly want to put in it for a 3-day camping trip. Currently packed as my emergency bag. Added a dedicated medical pack to the PALS webbing just to keep things separate. While I will say I haven't beaten this thing up, I have used it on day hikes and weekend trips, and it's been more than up to the task. Build quality is excellent and, even though it spends a lot of its time bouncing around in the trunk of my car with my jumper cables and spare, it still looks brand new. Super comfortable for long travel, and not too cumbersome, even with a tent strapped to the bottom. Without any add-ons, the pack is compartmentalized enough to keep things separate when necessary, and allows for some on-the-go organization without having to unpack every day to fit everything back in. If you roll your clothes, you've got plenty of room for several days. Took the extra support straps off for the time being, as it's not something I find much use for, but they're tucked in the bottom and fit back together quite easily if the need were to arise. Even when fully packed, it is still manageable, and feels good when the straps are cinched down properly. If you're looking for a bag to take on an airplane, to the gun range, or back and forth to the lecture hall, this pack is great.

"9 years and going"

Syd S. on 12/5/2016 8:43:57 PM

Comments: Back in early 2007 got this bag for undergrad, and working EMS. Many college and ambulance years later, it traveled 12 countries and every camping trip I've been on. Boat rides, unaffected by the ocean water the many times it did get wet. Taken it to the range more then I count. Basically have lived out this bag for 9 years, and able to carry about 3 days worth of travel items/clothes (not including food). Easy to upgrade if you don't want to buy the Falcon-III. I switched out to YKK heavy duty clip buckles on the shoulder straps, locking zippers, and metal D-rings on the top sides. No tears, or major color fading. No broken parts or straps. Only have spot cleaned it, never truly washed it. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Don't think twice, get the bag, it's may be "small" but it is as big as you really need.

"Use it every day"

John on 10/16/2016 12:26:04 AM

Comments: I use Falcon II for 7 years now on every day basis. It holds my laptop, electronics, traveling accessories etc. Fits nicely in overhead compartment on plane. Can put 7 days of clothes and accessories needed for a business trips. I also used it for hiking, bicycle touring, sky trips and it performed excellent. I have few other hiking backpacks and never use them anymore. With expansion like rolly poly, water bottle holder and Versipack Proteus it is the most versatile equipment i have.

"Epic pack"

james perez on 3/1/2016 6:58:37 PM

Comments: This is by far the best pack I have ever owned. The quality of this pack is unmeasurable to other packs.. This pack takes a beating and asks for more. Don't by packs that will give out in a year or two. Make a lifetime purchase with Maxpedition. I just bought GYRFalcon pack from Amazon can't wait till it gets here

"The best ruck you'll own"

Austin on 1/18/2016 10:54:52 AM

Comments: It was my first maxpedition pack and I was worried about price and now, after a year the price is in reality cheap for the quality. my pack has gone through, over night hikes, day hikes, ruck runs, school, it's been soaked from rain, thrown down rocks and this pack has had no problem taking anything I give to it, it's super comfortable with the way the straps are padded and curved, and you could really use it for anything. If your thinking about a really REALLY good pack, you will not go wrong with the falcon II. I can see this pack lasting me YEARS. I would recommend this to anyone because of the versatility with the Molle webbing for modular pouches or the ability to use it for simply a laptop bag.

"the best"

"Falcon II"

Denny Spencer on 12/1/2014 9:12:37 AM

Comments: Finally replacing my falcon II that I purchased in 2004. I use it every day at work and it has seen a lot of abuse. Zipper on the back finally broke. Bag is still good though, I will repair it and put it to use as a spare range bag. Awesome product!

"petite sangle"

Tata on 10/24/2014 5:38:51 AM

Comments: Je voudrais savoir si quelqu'un avait une idée pour l'utilisation de la sangle avec le clip au dessus du sac elle forme deux boucle elle se situe près de la sortie du tube Camelbag Merci :)

"Hands down the most EPIC BACKPACK OF ALL TIME!"

Brian C on 7/10/2014 11:23:09 PM

Comments: Look no further my good friends! This is the perfect light backpack on the market today. I have searched long and hard, and thrown away more money on bags than I care to admit to you now…. I spent over 15 years (no joke) searching for the perfect quintessential go too backpack. I can tell you that I have found the HOLY GRAIL of bags with The Falcon II! When you pick up The Falcon II, its like shaking hands with an old friend. You can feel the quality of manufacture that went into it, the stitching is quality throughout and though the nylon feels dense, it maintains a lightness that is comforting. No flimsiness or fear that it will give out when out in the field. It just feels reliable!. The Falcon II is comfortable even with heavy loads over long distances. I have packed tons of gear into it and it still has room for more. The compartments are well thought-out and provide ample storage options for kit that lets you organize your items just the way you want them. I find it easy to switch using the pack for daytrips, to work loads. It lets me put my mission critical items in places that are easy and quick to reach. The PALS webbing on the exterior of the pack allows me to customize and personalize the bag even further and to truly make the bag my own. I rarely leave home without it nowadays. I feel like I am missing or I forgot something when I am not carrying it. I have used this bag for 3 years now. I was in the Army as a paratrooper and am now working as a police officer. I have used gear from most of the major designers both civilian and military and I am still impressed by Maxpedition gear. I have used this ruck for everything: camping, overnight trips, school, police patrol work, bug out bag, hiking, and it has always been my first choice. It has held up to everything I have thrown at it. It is stylish! I have been stopped several times out and about by people asking me where I got my pack and how I like it. Don’t be fooled by imitations, it’s design has been often copied, but none hold a candle to the Maxpedition ruck!! You pay for what you get, and trust me, you want to get Maxpedition. I have The Falcon II in foliage green and I love that it is that perfect gray/green color. It’s not to military looking so you can blend in if you like, but not so pedestrian as to look wimpy. If it ever fails, and that’s a pretty big IF, I will happily buy another and keep on going! The only thing I would like to see changed about the bag is a bit of soft side Velcro sewn between the two PALS webbing strips on the top smaller pocket. I like to have a place to put a name tape if I want! LOL

"Can't Kill It!"

AC2FV on 6/9/2014 12:27:21 PM

Comments: I've owned the original Falcon backpack for years, and have traveled extensively with it. It looks and works like new. The pack is bulletproof!

"The Best There Is !!"

Hans-Petter Bekeng on 5/25/2014 2:14:12 PM

Comments: This is quite simply the best backpack there is. I have been looking for the Ultimate backpack for some 25 years, and now I'm not looking anymore. The Awesomeness of the Falcon II cannot be over-estamated.

"Nice well built pack."

Tricia B on 4/15/2014 3:33:42 PM

Comments: This is a nice pack. Lots of points of attachment to modify it. It would be even better if it had a waist belt with a small pad with molle for more support and for adding pouches.

"Lots of travel with this pack"

Coast to Coast on 4/6/2014 8:38:49 AM

Comments: I travel extensively and had an Ogio pack before, zippers blew out within a year. With all the TSA checkpoints, zippers opening and closing multiple times a week, rough treatment by myself, dust, dirt and weather, I could not be happier with the pack. I have owned it two years now, not a single issue to complain about.I use this bag for all my tech (laptop, camera, communication cables, pens, headphones, power cords and accessories), planner, schematics, and have carried drills, chargers, bits, etc... HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN YET.

"Best bag ever!"

Tony on 1/8/2014 12:10:45 PM

Comments: I have had this bag for a few years now and still is like new. I work in law enforcement and this has to be the best all round bag hands down. I will never own another product other then maxpedition. Best in the business!!

"Great bag but!"

Trephaine on 12/26/2013 1:20:39 AM

Comments: This is my third Maxpedition bag and I love them all. Superior build quality and durability. Here is the but, I am a big guy (335 lbs) and the falconII fits me like a small t-shirt lol It would be nice if the padded straps were a little longer for comfort and the waist belt was also longer. I would defiantly recommend this for an average size person but if you're a big guy like me I would look for another bag. It looks funny on me too; like a kids backpack but I wear it in the woods so it doesn't matter to me what the squirrels think lol. FYI I use the jumbo versipack for edc and love it
