I have had a few attaché cases
varying in quality but the Maxpedition has been the highest in quality and
durability in police cases. It is built tough.
The Maxpedition has an
adjustable shoulder strap with Velcro padding that is very comfortable. There
are swivel clips on both ends of the straps that connect to the case that
unravel very quickly if the strap twists. The case always lays flat which is
definitely more comfortable when carrying. The shorter handle also has
durable Velcro straps which when connected with its pair strap, makes the
case easy to carry like an attaché case.
There is superior double
stitching throughout the case on the many pockets & the case itself
making the Maxpedition very strong. The Velcro on these pockets are securely
sewn on and keep whatever is put into them safe from falling out. I love how
many pockets there. I put my camera film in the front two small compartments.
The front small pocket with a clear covering velcroes to the pocket
underneath it which makes it very secure. The bottom long pocket has a velcro
patch across the top of it where you can Velcro on a name patch. It fits
perfectly. I chose to put my disposable gloves in this pocket. The side two
open pockets are perfect for my radio, maps, and fingerprinting brushes.
The two Velcro straps on the top
of the case between the shorter handles of the case are perfect for PR-24’s,
batons, or Asps. The front pocket under the hand straps is perfect for any
paperwork or my fingerprint elimination cards. It’s also tight enough to keep
various pens, markers, or scribes clipped in for easy access. The inside of
the main compartment of the bag has a removable Velcro stripped bottom and
side which has two pockets that summonses or a small sketch pad can fit into.
You can fit many manuals, books, or pads with or without the black Velcro
pad.
A full-sized, large laptop also
fits in this main compartment and is safe because there is high quality
padding which provides excellent protection for whatever is put inside. The
back full-sized pocket is also really nicely padded which can fit a smaller sized
laptop in it. There are four pockets that can fit a lot of pens, pencils,
rulers, scissors, erasers, a sketchbook, or police department forms in them.
There is a clip which secures whatever you put in the large pocket. I put my
fingerprint ink pad and fingerprint cards in this section. There are double
zippers on both big compartments so closing and securing items in them are
very easy. The zippers all have ties through them which make it easy to open
the pockets.
I truly love this product and I
am very impressed how it was made with such high quality materials that make
this case extremely durable. This case will last a very long time because it
definitely takes a beating. I would definitely purchase and recommend the
Maxpedition case. My coworkers also loved this product. The only change I
would make to the Maxpedition is that I would change the direction the zipper
closes on the front pocket where I put my memo book. I would make the zipper
close to the outside of the case instead of to the inside because I found it
a little hard to close because of the compartment which is right next to it.
But besides that, it’s perfect.
