I have yet to use this cover because I haven’t used my 2 backpacks in the rain. I folded them up & stuck them deep in a pocket for insurance. Well worth the investment!!!
I use this cover for the Tiburon backpack and there is a small zippered compartment on the bottom to keep this cover. It fits perfectly and keeps me covered on rainy days. It is a little stiff and you will need to get used to rolling it up nice to store it. The Maxpedition logo is rather large across the pack and doesn't feel very "subtle" or "grey man" if thats the look you are wanting. it's almost like a plastic decal feeling. I like the extra protection however.
Just got done testing the cover and it works great. Went on a 3 day camping trip on which we rowed to the campsite. This cover worked perfect because when rowing because water will inevitably hit your pack. This cover did and amazing job of keeping my pack dry. I folded this flat and kept it perfectly in the back of my maxpedition condor II where a hydration pouch goes and could retrieve it easily. Great for unexpected rain or if you need to cover a wet seat or log to sit.
I am quite satisfied with the RFY Rain Cover, which I purchased for my admittedly non- Maxpedition sling bag. Besides protecting the bag from rain and dust, it deters prying eyes (and hands.) I use this in conjunction with a [email protected] pack "bag". This is a stainless steel mesh bag designed to fit over a backpack, tightened with a locking cable; the backpack or sling bag may still be worn. I found the RFY Rain Cover to be made with the usual high quality from Maxpedition. I especially liked the Velcro loop at the bottom which attaches to a dee ring on my sling bag to keep it from pulling off. The twin grommets allow it to be hung for drying, or a thin paracord tied across for further security. Folded up, it rides easily in a compartment on my bag. All in all, good show.
