Tough as nails to hit the trails.

This pack is everything that I've been looking for. Believe me I have looked at everything out there. It's military grade tough and well made.Nothing out there compares to this pack. It's the last pack that I'll ever need to buy in my life.

Update on the ultimate pack

Up date from 7/28/09, This pack is still serving very well. Have also used this pack for trail work on the Ouachita trail I do use a light weight pack for long range trail trips but none are built to hold up the like this pack, The open design is a key point to this pack, I use 8L light weight dry bags to make quick access to 3 different needs on equipment in the pack, every thing has a place and nothing gets lost, wish they made a bright color for SAR but I'll still take this pack as is over others. EDC for 6 Years

Where to start… I have use the vulture every day for 6 years, it goes to work carries lunch, 2 nalgene water bottles and one thermos, and tons of other gear, knives, multi tools, flash lights, batteries, 550 cord, emergency blanket, small trauma kit, gloves. etc..etc… anything i may use in my line of work and things i use every day. After 6 years there is wear on the bag, but honestly not much at all, its weathered, little dusty looking, a quick wipe and its pretty good again. Its also gone on various weekend trips. The only major thing that has recently gone wrong with this bag a small tear near the right side shoulder strap, and that strap has significant less padding then it did. I suspect that this is my fault because most use is at work and the bag is not on my shoulders all the time i tend to use just the one strap. I have no doubt that if i use both straps as intended there would be no rip and the straps would be much closer to new. All I can say that could be added after 6 years, is more organizational features threw out the bag, so items i use everyday have a spot no all items have a spot in this bag. All in all if anyone is looking for a great bag that will last years and years this is it!! i have no doubts that if i carried the bag as intended it would last another 6 years. Thank you Maxpedition for the great bag.
