"Oh Yeah, there's even more in my Octa"

Chase Axinn on 6/11/2012 7:27:17 PM

Comments: Soryy guys, i forgot that i also carry a guitar pick pocket and a "pick Stick" jar, with one main section of the main pocket empty. If i stretched it further open, i could add a softball.

"Octa is enough for EDC"

Chase Axinn on 6/11/2012 7:09:52 PM

Comments: I have carried either a Malaga or Monsoon everyday for 4 or 5 years and realized that for EVERYDAY, I was carrying items i wouldn't use for 2 weeks. Cutting back on that and keeping them handy at home in the big bag, the Octa has room to spare for real E.Day needs. I touch-medicine, flashlight, 2 pens, marker,money/card clip, leatherman, phone, spare batteries, lighter, breath spray, Surefire headlight, hand cream, wallet, 2 checkbooks, other med holder, band aids, vivarin, denture cream, nail c... More details

"CCW solution for fishing in waders"

Tony on 1/24/2012 5:39:07 AM

Comments: I needed a discreet way to carry concealed while wearing chest waders fishing in warm weather. Belt/IWB and shoulder rig were out. Tried the FATBOY, but it's too big for my needs and moves around too much while wading/casting. The OCTA is perfect for a day in the woods/water/wherever. I regularly and comfortably carry in it: first aid kit (in a MAXPED 3x5 pouch on Molle loops)/snacks/GPS/camera/wallet(with ID,CCW permit, & fishing license, of course!)/TP/bug dope/flashlight/knife/multitool. The ... More details

"Will work as daily backpack!"

mdsjack on 1/4/2012 2:55:12 PM

Comments: I use it for my mountain survival kit. Great capacity, super tough fabric, clever compartments. TIP 1: wearing it on the back is way more comfortable when hiking. TIP 2: you can even attach a waterbottle in horizontal position to the elastic band on top, so you can use it instead of a daily backpack when hiking. TIP 3: the waist strap tends to loosen up, so I prefer adjusting the size using the opposite end of the strap and leave the end where the release buckles are fully extended. It won't mov... More details

Comments: I am constantly amazed at the versatility with Maxpedition gear; one can attach just about anything to this little guy. I use it for mountainbiking when it acts as a compact yet detailed survival kit; it's small enough to be unobstrusive, yet big enough to hold enough gera to survive a night out in the woods. Well done Maxpedition, pictures to follow!
